What worked
Vanilla creme, peppermint cream and pecan/B&B confections covered in semi sweet chocolate (can't remember the brand, it's very rich - has a triskele logo and something like gailard? I think it was Belgian.)
Chocolate-lime truffles covered in vanilla confectionary coating
Chocolate-Courvoisier truffles covered in ginger/cocoa
Snow fudge (vanilla confectionary coating with toasted hazelnuts and coconut)
White Chocolate Hazelnut fudge (white choc, toasted hazelnuts and candied cherries)
Chocolate fudge
What failed
Second batch of fudge (seized)
Caramel-marshmallow (stuck to pan)
Turkish Delight, lemon, orange flower and rose flavor (never set up firmly)
What was kind of resurrected
Caramels (stuck to pan but scooped out and made into balls)
What didn't get made
Cookies
Sugar plums (may still attempt these tomorrow night)
What I will probably never attempt again (note, I said probably. As in, I might. Someday.)
Caramel. Whatta pain in my ass. Tastes good, smells delicious, cannot get the stuff out of the pan. Grr.
What may become standard Christmas gifts (to go along with the every-other-year Barenjager pound cake)
Chocolate-lime truffles
Snow fudge
White chocolate hazelnut fudge
Overall: yum. However, I don't recommend doing this three days in a row. My upper and lower back were so sore last night and are aching today. I'm taking a break tonight. Only finishing the packaging tonight.
