Battlestar, Alaska, Podcasts, and gadgety goodness

I don't talk about the television shows I watch much because in general but I LOVE Battlestar Galactica. I loved the original (hey, I was young and Richard Hatch was soooooo cute!). I loved the Sci-Fi channel's miniseries. But most of all, I love the new series. It's really really good.

And not only is it really really good, they cast not one but TWO of my favorite actresses: Lucy Lawless and Michelle Forbes.

Go Galactica! Too bad next week is the season finale. *sob*

Sadly, Bones pretty much sucked, although I got a good laugh out of the series premiere.

In other news, the first day of Alaska is up. Well, mostly. I'm still writing comments. And I forgot to upload the first photo from Anchorage. It's evolving. You get the point.

In more other news, my one and only (haven't had time to do more) podcast is up. Point your iTunes/iPodder/etc. to http://loungebunny.net/pods/bunnyfeed.xml

I suppose I should list the tracks...

Run Pussy Cat - Rick Jarraed/Bert Shefter/Paul Sawtell
Jestsetter - Morningwood
Jogi - Panjabi MC
A Forest - Nouvelle Vague
'88 Aka Come Down On Me - Lemon Jelly
Galicia - Truby Trio
Until the Morning (rewound by Kid Loco) - Thievery Corporation feat. Emiliana Torrini
The Accordion Song - Dawn Landes

plus some other stuff thrown in.

In case you don't know about it, Podcast RSS Buddy is a great utility.

Speaking of music, Tower Records yield last night:

Takk - Sigur Ros
Repulsion Box - Sons and Daughters
The Best of Fun Boy Three (only $2.50!)
Goth-Icky (book I've been wanting)

I want an iPod Nano in black, of course. But I'll wait until my 3G battery absolutely dies. Which it is. But can I handle only carrying 4GB? I'm so used to 15. Not that I can possibly listen to that many songs at one go (even on the long airplane trips or drives).

Meanwhile, my LifeDrive seems to work pretty nicely. It's pretty handy but I haven't gotten the Wi-Fi thing down. Bluetooth seems to work just fine. But Wi-Fi requires 1) and account (paid) and 2) security configurations. Haven't found a site that explains any of this in an understandable way.

Speaking of gadgets, which I love, I discovered Gadget Madness yesterday while looking for reviews on the imation Stakka for work. Dammit. Another site to feed the greed.

Comments

I LOVE Battlestar Galactica too! It's definitely my most favoritest show EVER. - It's even better than Six Feet Under.

I didn't mind Bones too much. I'm going to give it a few more tries. I never really fault a show for the pilot episodes...it usually takes a few episodes for everyone to really find their "groove."

I thought SFU had gone downhill (although I liked the last half of the last season).

As for Bones, I understand that it might be ok. But, then, you don't live in the DC area and work in the field. If you did, you'd be rolling on the ground, too. If I lived in a different part of the country or a different profession, then I might be a bit more lenient. As it is... :)

Ok, so this isn't really the right place to make this inquiry but I had to give it a shot.
I have two fantastic paintings by Gini Cutler and I was hoping you might give me some more information on the artist and her works. These paintings have travelled all over the United States with my family, from New Jersey to Florida to California and they are a really special part of our lives (and our living room).
Please write back with any information you can afford me and I can send you descriptions and/or photos of the paintings if you like. I really appreciate your help.
Thanks,
JessieAllie
