Linkmeister pointed out that Command Post has an extensive list of ways to help the relief effort. Can you imagine if your island experienced an earthquake so great it was moved 100 feet? I just can't believe (having grown up in Hawaii and having a tidal wave warning system) that there wasn't something in place already but I guess the thought was it wasn't as volatile a region. Thailand, Indonesia, well, they had no warning, but India had hours - not to mention Africa! Here's to hoping all nations band together to set up worldwide warning systems.
