We were watching Countdown with Keith Oblerman last night and he ran that quote from W. Yes, indeed. Had me laughing. I can't find a soundbyte of it, though. I'd like to know what he said directly afterwards.
Bushisms doesn't have it yet.
Meanwhile, I am a bit weirded out by this story. I don't know whether to be grossed out or whether I kinda like the idea. 'Cause I do kinda like the idea.
I forgot my phone at home today, which is a crying shame for you all because I took a little walk yesterday and came across 4 more pandas, including the DC parking ticket one with the boot on its leg. So cute! I'll get the photos up eventually. That makes 7 I've seen. One of the pandas had bugs all over it but alas, no real cicada, which was weird since there were many many cicadas flying around the, er, highrises. Many. We hardly have any on the mall but in the largely treeless streets? Yesh. Did I mention that one dive bombed my chest yesterday?
Lastly, here are Merriam-Webster's reader-voted Top Ten Favorite Words of 2004. I am not surprised by most of them although I had to look callipygian up. Now I want to use it in all conversations but I might be slapped with a sexual harassment suit. *snort*
Is flibbertigibbet the same as flibberty-jib? ;)
Ones I like that aren't here:
confabulate
conniption
pseudopod
scrumpy
scrabble
necrotic
heirophant
apocryphal
spurious
gibber
ooh, I'd better just quit. I could quite babble on and I have to sacrifice myself to the hoards today.
( 08:58 FH | oh, that's just not right. )OOOOOh, I like your list of additions!
I actually like the idea of those jewels. Better than a plot of land and a casket, and seems to be a neat symbol of treasuring that person, you know?
