Stinky stinky

I got an email with this subject line this morning: Pai Mai - 5 point penls en1argement technique. Having just seen Kill Bill Vol. 2 yesterday, it actually made me laugh.

Meanwhile, life with the stinky cicadas continues. Let me tell you, you do not want to ever check the air in your tires during this season. The thousands of cicadas that are bursting (with protein!) when your car tires run them over is exacerbated by the plastering of their guts on the wheel wells and rear bumper. Factor in the heat (supposed to be 90 degrees today) and blech. The stench makes me nauseous. OK, I did fill the tires with air but I was completely grossed out the entire time. Then I had to use a bunch of moist towelettes.

Looks like the swarm on our street is dying down. However, the rest of the development has just ramped up into high gear, as evidenced by loads and loads of shells and dead cicadas under each street lamp on the main road. Ick.

Speaking of ick, we don't know why but kitty has taken to peeing on the floor next to the litter box. He still poos in the box but will not pee. Yes, he'll be making the vet visit later today. I hope there is a medical reason 'cause I'd hate to think he's acting out (mostly since we can't figure out why he's acting out). It could be because he 1) doesn't like his medicine anymore or 2) we won't let him outside (which shouldn't be a problem because he's an indoor cat) or 3) the cicada noise is driving him insane. But we just don't know. At this rate, I'll have to change the puppy pads every day.

Have some unrelated camera phone images.

Ok, I give up - I can't find the cicada in the last two photos. It's hiding in there somewhere, I'm sure...
(*snicker*)

I am totally grossed out by the thought of what your car tires must look like. Thank you for not sharing photos of that!!!!

Oh and I've read that some cats get particular and want to pee in one box and poo in another. Of course that was in multicat houses. So definitely a time to ask the vet what's up...

I too, was looking for a cicada in *every* photo! *giggle*
