Jim Morrison Lives! Oh, wait. That's not Jim, that's

Ian Astbury.

I know this is old news, but it seems really fitting that Ian Astbury performed recently with the remaining Doors. He's always been such a Jim Morrison wannabe. Hell, he's always been such an American wannabe (is he a citizen yet?).

I was bad today. I ordered CDs. It had been awhile, but the new Ladytron was out and I got a coupon and I really wanted to get the Sigur Ros film music cd and ended up getting a Jack Off Jill cd with a Mark Ryden cover and Sondre Lerche (and Mr. Airplane Man for my sweetie).

But I wasn't satisfied with that, no. I got it in my head after dinner that it was about time I searched for the Honolulu Mountain Daffodils on CD again or at the very least, the first album on vinyl.

Luckily, Midnight Records in NYC saved me from buying the vinyl. HMDs first two albums were released on CD in 1992 and they actually had one! A few moments later, it was ordered.

I can't wait to hear Sinner's Club and Wolverine on someting clearer Sweetie has the two songs on an old cassette, but we're talking about 14 years old, here.

Well, while looking for info on the HMDs (Adrian Borland was also known as Joachim Pimento), I stumbled across the Fuller Up Dead Musician Directory.

We've got tickets to see Sigur Ros in early October. I hope it's good - they're performing at the Lincoln Theatre, a real, sit down kinda place.

Now, only if I could find Tragic Mulatto, Proof of Utah, and the Longshoremen...

(I know, I promised that not goth entry. )Someday.
